Paul M. Harden is a sole practitioner with over 40 years’ experience in zoning, development and land use entitlement law in the State of Florida. A graduate of the University of Florida and the Florida State College of Law, with high honors, Paul represents public and private sector clients in matters related to land development, zoning, comprehensive planning, developments of regional impact, vested rights, concurrency, historic preservation, and solid waste regulation. Paul has significant experience in land use litigation and local government legislative activity.
Paul served as Chairman of the Jacksonville Planning Commission and is active in The Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Law section. He is also an active member of the Board of Directors for Harden.
Paul was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Andrew Jackson Senior High School in 1969. He earned his Juris Doctorate with Honors in 1974 from Florida State University and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honors in 1972 from the University of Florida.
Paul is a member of the Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bar Association, and Florida Planning and Zoning Association. He has served on the Jacksonville Planning Commission as Chairman from 1980-1984, Leadership Jacksonville, WJCT Board of Trustees Chairman from 1998-2000, Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Arts Executive Committee from 1998-2000, City of Jacksonville Preservation Project Commission, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Task Force of City Council Orientation in 1999, YMCA Board of Trustees, and Jacksonville Airport Authority.
