Vice President, Employee Benefits Division Account Director
Lawson Carr is Vice President and an Employee Benefits Account Director for Harden, one of the Southeast’s leading insurance, risk management and employee benefits firms. In his role, Lawson partners with businesses to solve complex issues specific to employee benefits and human resources. He and his team of subject matter experts consult to understand all areas of risk, then design, implement and manage solutions that allow clients to focus on the success of their business.
Lawson received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance from The Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia in 2008. He holds a Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuities (2-15) license and has obtained his Health Insurance Advisor (HIA), Disability Health Professional (DHP), and Disability Income Associate (DIA) designations.
As a leader in his role at Harden, Lawson has served as a member on the Employee Benefits Strategic Planning Committee and the Harden Wellness Committee, and has also served as the team captain for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s flagship fundraising event.
Committed to giving back to his community, Lawson serves as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida and is a board member of both Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP), ensuring the unique assets of the community remain intact, and Rethreaded, an organization working to combat human trafficking.
