Commercial Insurance Division Account Director
Franklin Kinman is a Commercial Insurance Division Account Director for Harden, one of the Southeast’s leading insurance, risk management and employee benefits firms. In his role, Franklin is responsible for originating and retaining client relationships, defining and articulating client objectives, and leading efforts to provide the best solutions for clients, all with a specialized focus on the commercial real estate industry.
Prior to joining Harden in 2015, Franklin interned with the Pediatric Cancer Foundation in Tampa, where he coordinated events such as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers head shaving fundraiser, thereby solidifying sponsor relationships; attended executive meetings to contribute new ideas for upcoming events and new sponsorship opportunities; and used exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to meet with local business managers to acquire donations and add new clients to support partnered hospitals. Prior to that, Franklin was a General Manager for Brasington’s Adventure Outfitters. His responsibilities included comparing cash totals with store receipts and cost of goods to calculate end of day store balances; recording inventory at each month’s end to reflect purchase orders from vendors for upcoming seasons; and was proficient in (and trained on) placing special order deals, handling warranty claims, repairing used gear, and installing automotive travel equipment and accessories. In addition, Franklin was an Account Manager Intern for Gartner, Inc., focusing on business development roles within the SBU market channel.
Franklin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Real Estate from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration. He holds a Florida General Lines (2-20) license, has obtained his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation, and is currently working toward his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He is an active member of both the Real Estate Investment Council and Society of Real Estate Professionals.
An active member of the community, Franklin is a volunteer for More Health, Inc., the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and The Florida Aquarium.
